Event Recap: #BeckyandAdaminPH

Wow, I mean… How do I even begin to write the recap for my all-time favorite bookish event? Tell me, because I seriously need to know. For almost 4 years now, I’ve been dreaming of meeting Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli, and just last Sunday, this dream of mine came true all because of the efforts of National Bookstore. They brought the What If It’s Us authors to Manila and Cebu for signing events, and we’ve been given the chance to sit down and grab breakfast with them, and MY FEELINGS? Yeah, they’re EVERYWHERE. It’s a surprise to me that I’m able to write this roundup right now, but I obviously need to try and do it justice. So let’s get this started.

The last thing Elise wants is to start her senior year in a new town. But after her brother’s death in Afghanistan, she and her mother move from San Francisco to a sleepy coastal village.

When Elise meets Mati, they quickly discover how much they have in common. Mati is new to town too, visiting the U.S. with his family. Over the course of the summer, their relationship begins to blossom, and what starts out as a friendship becomes so much more.

This year, my Bookworms Unite PH team and I were lucky enough to be given the chance to talk about our little Filipino YA community and how it all started. And I also met Erin Entrada Kelly and Adi Alsaid for a signing! *gasps enthusiastically* Read on for a complete rundown of my #PRWF2018 experience.
