Event Recap: #BeckyandAdaminPH

Wow, I mean… How do I even begin to write the recap for my all-time favorite bookish event? Tell me, because I seriously need to know. For almost 4 years now, I’ve been dreaming of meeting Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli, and just last Sunday, this dream of mine came true all because of the efforts of National Bookstore. They brought the What If It’s Us authors to Manila and Cebu for signing events, and we’ve been given the chance to sit down and grab breakfast with them, and MY FEELINGS? Yeah, they’re EVERYWHERE. It’s a surprise to me that I’m able to write this roundup right now, but I obviously need to try and do it justice. So let’s get this started.

Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.

Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.

But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them?

Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.

Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.

But what if they can’t quite nail a first date . . . or a second first date . . . or a third?

What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work . . . and Ben doesn’t try hard enough?

What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play?

But what if it is?

[Wrap-up #3] August 2016 Wrap-up + Book Haul + Life Updates

img_8028

August was definitely not the best month for me in terms of reading and blogging. I took my sweet time trying to adjust to finally being an adult with a full time job, and I (kinda) neglected being a book freak. This unexpected hiatus made me feel a bit better about myself and how Book Freak Revelations still has it’s place in the book blogosphere. It was unexpected, but I actually had fun while I was at it. Anyway, here’s a wrap-up so I could share with you some of the things that went down for me and my blog last August!

[Stacking The Shelves #14] The Post-Graduation Book Haul + A Life Update

Stacking the Shelves is a meme from Tynga’s Reviews which aims to showcase our newly acquired books, whether bought, borrowed, or gifted! For more info about this meme, please check this out!

Hi, everyone! It’s been over two months since I last shared a book haul post. I have to say, now that I’m finally a college graduate, I don’t get allowances anymore, and buying books is quite hard when you don’t have the budget for it. (Let’s be honest, it’s quite an expensive addiction, right?) So it took me two months to gather all these hype-worthy books and talk about them here on this book haul post! So anyway, let’s get down to all the books I bought between the months of June and July!
