[Bookish Announcements #9] The Philippine Readers & Writers Festival 2016

Even if I’m already working, I’m (almost) always ready to attend bookish events. Some would consider me a social butterfly (a bookish one, that is) just because I really love spending time with my friends, both old and new, bonding over books at signing events or just plain coffee. I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Today, I’m sharing my weekend plans with everyone because the time has finally come for the annual Philippine Literary Festival, only this time it has a new name! National Book Store (the one and only host of the iconic event) decided to call it The Readers and Writers Festival! Fancy, right? Anyway, here are a few details about the event:

[Bookish Announcements #8] I’m Joining a Comment Challenge!

The Comment Challenge is hosted by Lonna @ FLYLēF and Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsense and it aims to increase comment activity from it’s participants’ blogs and establish and encourage new relationships with other book bloggers, and reviewers. So, at this point, I already want to thank Lonna and Alicia for letting me be a part of this challenge!

I’m taking this post as a chance to update everyone as to what I have on my plate right now.

[Bookish Announcements #4] The In This Life PH Book Tour

Processed with MOLDIV

So, tonight, I wanted to share some great news for everyone. For the last few months, I have been working with some of the greatest people behind Christine Brae’s Philippine Street Team, which I also happen to be a part of, and we planned on hosting the Philippine Book Tour for Christine’s new NA book, “In This Life“. Christine is the incredibly talented US-based Filipino Author of The Light In The Wound, His Wounded Light, and Insipid. She graced our humbled country last September 2015 for a homecoming-slash-book signing event, and meeting her was one of the best moments of my 2015.

Now, I am more than excited to tell everyone that together with my good friend Rafael of The Royal Polar Bear Reads, and Christine Brae’s Philippine Street Team, I will be hosting the PH book tour for Christine’s forthcoming book, In This Life.
