Wow, I mean… How do I even begin to write the recap for my all-time favorite bookish event? Tell me, because I seriously need to know. For almost 4 years now, I’ve been dreaming of meeting Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli, and just last Sunday, this dream of mine came true all because of the efforts of National Bookstore. They brought the What If It’s Us authors to Manila and Cebu for signing events, and we’ve been given the chance to sit down and grab breakfast with them, and MY FEELINGS?
Yeah, they’re EVERYWHERE. It’s a surprise to me that I’m able to write this roundup right now, but I obviously need to try and do it justice. So let’s get this started.

I’m not sure if my event recap introductions ever get too common for y’all because it feels like I’ve been writing stuff like this for years. But just last Sunday, August 12th, marked the end of this year’s Philippine Readers and Writers Festival hosted, as always, by the lovely people from National Bookstore. And for the second time in a row, I was once again invited to be a part of a panel! This year, my Bookworms Unite PH team and I were lucky enough to be given the chance to talk about our little Filipino YA community and how it all started. And I also met Erin Entrada Kelly and Adi Alsaid for a signing! *gasps enthusiastically* Read on for a complete rundown of my #PRWF2018 experience.

Hi, you guys! So just last week, from September 13 to 17, bibliophiles from all parts of the nation came together for the annual Manila International Book Fair at the SMX Convention Center, where book-selling exhibitors basically flaunted all their amazing books and other bookish merchandise perfect for all kinds of readers. The 5-day fair had everything that a typical reader can possibly hope for: discounted books, book launches, signing events, and guest appearances from bestselling authors. It was heaven, I tell you. Luckily, this time around, I had the time, budget, and energy to go to the fair on the FIRST and LAST day! Read on for a brief recap of my experience at the 2017 Manila International Book Fair!

To say that the previous week has been one of the bests for me would probably be a huge understatement because just last week, not only was I invited to be a panelist for National Book Store’s 2017 Philippines Readers and Writers Festival, but I was also fortunate enough to be invited to casually interview one of my literary heroes, Pierce Brown, for a post on Book Freak Revelations. I’m hoping those who weren’t able to attend the 3-day long event could live vicariously through this recap.

Bookish events are always something that I fully intend on being 100% involved with and I (almost) always make it a point to find (or make) time just to attend. In this year’s Philippine Readers & Writers Festival, I won’t just be attending. I’m also going to be one of the many panelists that National Book Store invited, and I can’t wait to share with everyone some of my thoughts regarding our discussion topic. Read on for the full schedule of the 3-day festival from August 25th to the 27th!
