Stacking The Shelves #20: July 2017 Book Haul

BFR (1)

I’m sorry, okay? I know, I haven’t posted my monthly hauls for 3 months already, but this is because for the past few months, I kinda failed at book photography and I just didn’t have the motivation. I know it’s getting old, but this is also because of the shift in Instagram’s algorithm. But enough about all the negativity! I’m here to (finally) share with you guys all the books I got for the month of July!

  • Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust
  • Dividing Eden by Joelle Charbonneau
  • Brooding YA Hero: Becoming a Main Character (Almost) as Awesome as Me by Broody McHottiepants and Carrie Dirisio
  • A Million Junes by Emily Henry
  • Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman
  • Just Friends by Tiffany Pitcock
  • They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera

Thank you to Macmillan International, Penguin Random House International, Simon Pulse, my friend Hazel from Stay Bookish, and Heather Doss of HarperCollins for lending slash sending me all these galleys for review!

  • Want by Cindy Pon
  • The Female of The Species by Mindy McGinnis
  • Ever The Hunted by Erin Summerill
  • Keeping The Distance by Clarisse David

Thank you to my friends Allie from A Literary Wanderer and Ms. Tarie Sabido for gifting me with The Female of The Species and Keeping The Distance respectively!

And also this July, I received this lovely care package, again, from my amazing and thoughtful friend, Allie, with stuff that she bought while she was at NYC for BookCon 2017! She was also the one who received my copy of They Both Die At The End (which I won from a Twitter giveaway), and so she sent that over to me as well.

So, again, thank you, Allie for this lovely package. You are truly an amazing friend, not because you thought of me during your stay in the US, but your friendship with me is such a blessing in itself. Thank you!

What’s your recent / favorite bookish purchase for the month of July? Tell me all about it via the comments section below!

  1. Lovely haul, JM! I see you have BROODING YA HERO — cannot wait to read the heck out of this book when it releases 😍 I’m actually on book buying ban as I am saving up for this year’s MIBF, which is going to be hugeeeeeee.

  3. Such an awesome book haul! I cannot wait to read TBDATE (although I know Silvera’s books always break my heart but they are so great!!!) You should definitely read A Million Junes. I am still crying remembering some moments in that book.

    1. That is lovely to hear, Daisy! A Million Junes will be my first Emily Henry book, so I have high hopes, since I’ve heard nothing but positive stuff about it. Thanks for pointing it out, though! And I hope you get the chance to read They Both Die At The End as well. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  4. This is such a great haul! I actually didn’t buy any books in July but I do have A Million Junes on hold at the library. I can’t wait to read it. I also heard TBDATE is really good but I heard Silvera’s book could destroy my heart and I’m not ready to have my heart broken.

    1. Oh, They Both Die At The End is definitely not for those who are weak of hearts. It’ll have you sobbing in less than a couple of pages, but the message that it sends to it’s readers is moving, and touching. I hope you’ll be able to read it too, Tina. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  5. Ahhh, what an amazing haul!! You’ve got a future of amazing books ahead of you. I’ve read The Female of the Species and A Million Junes, and both of them were *amazing*. I also read Want and really enjoyed it. Hope you enjoy all your new books!

    1. Hi, Alex! Thank you for stopping by! I’ve heard nothing but great things about those books, and so I am honestly just so excited to get to read them. Once I put a dent to my ARC pile for #ARCAugust, I’ll be sure to prioritize those titles. 🙂
