Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by the lovely bloggers behind The Broke and the Bookish. This week, we’re featuring ten amazing titles that’s been released for the past 6 months. Oh, and for more information about Top Ten Tuesday, please check out The Broke and the Bookish blog – they are amazing.

2016 has been such an amazing year so far in terms of book releases. Authors, publishers, and even bloggers have all worked hand in hand to make these releases special and exciting, and today, I’m more than happy to share with everyone the top ten books I’ve seen released for the first half of 2016!

#10. The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson – I actually haven’t read anything by Morgan Matson. All I know is she’s great with contemporaries. Oh, and she writes great books about romance, families, and friendships. It’s a good thing I grabbed a hold of this book on my Post-Internship Book Haul!

#9. When We Collided by Emery Lord – Another book I haven’t read yet, but I’ve seen great reviews of this one. All I know is that it’s a romantic contemporary. + the cover is gorgeous! I recently acquired this book and am yet to feature it on my Post-Graduation Book Haul. Stay tuned!

#8. Morning Star by Pierce Brown – I started reading this one last week and I am so not ready to finish the series yet. I’m savoring this book for now and have plans on finishing it maybe next week. But I am loving it so far! (No surprise there.) Major thanks again to Penguin Random House for sending me a copy for review!

#7. The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan – Another book I’m yet to start reading but Uncle Rick is one of my auto-buy authors. Albeit I haven’t read his Heroes of Olympus series yet (please don’t hate me), I just know I’ll love this one just as I love Percy.

#6. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas – Confession: I haven’t read this beast yet not because I don’t want to, but because I want the hype surrounding it to die down a little before diving into it. I don’t want the thousands of good praises it gets to affect my reading experience, and so I haven’t started it yet. But seeing that Maas is an impeccable author, I know I’ll love it all the same. Oh, and I did, however, feature this on my Post-Internship Book Haul as well.

#5. The Crown by Kiera Cass – Most of my friends know just how bittersweet this book is for me. I loved seeing Eadlyn choose a great life for herself and Illéa, but I also grieve for the ending of one of my most favorite series of all-time. I finished reading this book last week, and my review is set to go up within the week so stay tuned! (Clue: I loved it!)

#4. Truthwitch by Susan Dennard – This book was one of my most anticipated reads for the entire year of 2016. I read it last month and it was all that I expected it to be and more. I love how Susan made a mark on the YA fantasy genre. Check out my 4-star review here.

#3. Stars Above by Marissa Meyer – Another book I haven’t read yet mainly because I don’t want The Lunar Chronicles series to end for me. It’s by far my most favorite series ever, and I don’t think I can bear the thought of it ending. Although this book is just a collection of novellas for the series, reading it still has that feeling of everything coming to an end. I don’t want that. Yet.

#2. No Love Allowed by Kate Evangelista – This book just made me feel feelings. Reading it in two sittings, only because I had to sleep, No Love Allowed is a great (not to mention fluffy) book and it deserves to be recognized more by the entire reading community! Check out my 5-star review here.

#1. The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner – This is my latest read, and me and my friends finished it last week. It’s a great story about finding faith in tragedy, and friendship, and having to choose between settling or dreaming big. This book made me cry, made me laugh, and it ultimately made me question myself if I’m dreaming big enough for me and my family. My review will go live within the next set of days, so better watch out for that one!

And that’s just about it for this post! I can’t believe I haven’t read most of these books, and it just goes to show just how much I have to read before the year ends. Please send help!

Until the next one, book nerds!
