Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by the lovely bloggers behind The Broke and the Bookish. This week, we’re featuring ten amazing titles that everyone needs to get excited for! Oh, and for more information about Top Ten Tuesday, please check out The Broke and the Bookish blog – they are amazing.

2016 has been a fantastic year for book releases so far! Authors, publishers, book sellers, and bloggers all did there parts to make these releases fun and exciting, and this week, I’m more than ecstatic to share with everyone ten titles that I can’t wait to see in my local bookstores’ shelves! Let’s get this post started!

#10. The Midnight Star by Marie Lu – Marie Lu will always have a special place in my heart, seeing that she’s the first author I met in person. Her Legend Trilogy was phenomenal, and although I’ve only read The Young Elites, I can’t wait for the release of The Midnight Star so I can binge read the entire series!

#9. Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake – I’ve been seeing such great reviews of this book on Goodreads, and was impressed to know that I too am engrossed with it’s premise. It’s another fantasy read, and the idea of three powerful sisters fighting one another for a chance to sit on a throne and lead their land seems highly interesting!

#8. Tales of The Peculiar by Ransom Riggs – I admit, up until this point, I still haven’t read the conclusion to the Miss Peregrine’s series, Library of Souls, but I still can’t wait for the release of this prequel all the same. I love Ransom’s writing style and this is a sure-read for me!

#7. Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige – I haven’t read any books or stories by Danielle Paige but I am seeing lots of great reviews for her Dorothy Must Die series. Also, I’m a huge fan of fairy tale retellings, and so, I can’t wait for this one as well! And, it’s a retelling of the Snow White, so…

#6. Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff – Do I really have to explain myself with this one? Illuminae was such a great book and it’s only fitting to include Gemina to this post. I’m sure it’ll be just as phenomenal if not more!

#5. It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover – Everyone who’s anyone knows that I’m the biggest fan of Colleen Hoover. She writes such amazing NA novels, and I could never let my chance of reading It Ends With Us pass. Also, have you seen the cover? It screams PRETTY!

#4. The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon – Everything, Everything, in case you haven’t heard, is my most favorite read of 2016! With that said, Nicola Yoon became an “auto-buy” author for me after I read it.`Also, the cover is reason enough to read this!

#3. Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven – If you’ve already checked it out on Goodreads, you would know how much issue this novel got even if it still hasn’t been release yet. Well, the thing is, if you would see past all the issues that surrounds it, Holding Up The Universe has a heartwarming premise. Also, Jennifer Niven writes moving, and feels-inducing books, (see All The Bright Places) and so, reading this one will surely be enjoyable for me!

#2. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas – Okay, okay! I know I haven’t gotten back to reading Heir of Fire yet, but I’m sure Empire of Storms will be badass! Even if I’m not the biggest fan of the cover, I’m anticipating for it’s release just the same!

#1. Heartless by Marissa Meyer – Ever since it came up on Twitter, Goodreads, and the Book Blogosphere, I’ve already been anticipating or the release of Heartless! I’ve been working my ass off to request for this title, and hopefully, I get approved, for I don’t know if I can wait for November 8! Marissa Meyer is the queen of Fairytale Retellings (Check The Lunar Chronicles), and I am 100% sure that this will be just as great if not more!

There you have it for this post! I’m so, so excited for all these titles, and at this point, I already want to apologize to my already-crying wallet. You will be badly wounded, my friend!

Huge thanks to Penguin Random House for sending me an ARC of The Sun is Also A Star as well as Holding Up The Universe! I’ll be posting a book sometime soon, so be sure to follow me, and check that out once it’s posted!

What’s YOUR most anticipated release for the second half of 2016? Tell me all about it in the comments below!

Until the next one, book nerds!

    1. Thank you, Marie! Nicola Yoon and Jennifer Niven became two of my most favorite authors last year when I read their YA novels Everything, Everything and All The Bright Places! I just know that these books will be so worth everyone’s time! 😀
